Common questions

Where is my data stored?

SpendPouch stores expenses, receipts, PDFs, OCR preview text, reminders, exports, and local app records on your device by default.

Does SpendPouch connect to my bank?

No. SpendPouch does not use bank sync in the current release.

Does SpendPouch automatically read Apple Pay transactions?

No. iOS does not give SpendPouch a private feed of all Apple Wallet, Apple Pay, bank, or card history. If you choose to create an iOS Shortcuts transaction automation, iOS can pass selected transaction details into SpendPouch's shortcut action under your control.

Does capturing with Shortcuts use AI credits?

No. Capturing with Shortcuts, saving locally, and local review do not use backend AI or AI credits in the current release.

Does SpendPouch use analytics or session replay?

The current release does not include a product analytics SDK, advertising tracking, attribution SDK, or session replay.

Does SpendPouch use AI?

Backend AI execution and AI Assist purchases are paused in the current release. Manual tracking, voice transcript capture, receipt and PDF import, and local OCR preview remain available without AI credits.

How do I restore purchases?

Open SpendPouch Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Restore applies to eligible Pro subscription access and Lifetime Pro. AI Assist packs are separate consumables and are not offered as live purchasable products in the current release.

How do I export my records?

Open Settings, choose Export and Backup, select the date range, and prepare a local CSV export file.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual expenses and attachments inside the app where available, erase local app data where SpendPouch provides that action, or uninstall the app from your device to remove local app data. If you contacted support or submitted TestFlight feedback, contact support for help reviewing that separate support record.

I found a bug. What should I send?

Send the app version, build number, device model, iOS version, and the steps that caused the issue. Do not send receipt images, PDF contents, expense amounts, merchant names, transaction IDs, or other sensitive financial details unless support explicitly asks for a redacted example.

Support asked me to send a diagnostic test. What does it include?

Open Settings, choose Privacy and Data, and tap Send Diagnostic Test only if support asks for it. This creates one redacted crash/error diagnostic event for the installed app version and build. It is not product analytics and is configured to avoid including expense amounts, merchant names, notes, receipt or PDF contents, OCR text, transaction identifiers, account data, or files.
